I’m still on cloud 9 about the fact that it is now possible to make your own fabric, – i.e. design the pattern, send the file and Spoonflower will print it for you.

They will soon expand their fabric choices even more!

Below a few I’m going to get printed as soon as money allows…

Where’s the owl, precious?? The owl says……..?

Lille Linnea elsker å se på dyr og  gjenta lydene de lager,

– men signetugla etter tippoldefar er både veldig liten og forbudt å leke med på egen hånd…

Så farmor laget eget mønster og denne koseugla er lovlig bestandig!

Jeg må forbedre designen litt og når det er gjort vil jeg legge inn mønster og veiledning her i bloggen min.

Truth be told Linnea’s owl is based on a baby owl..

Wee Linnea loves looking at animals and repeating their sounds,

– but the signetowl after great great grandfather is both very small and not to be played with on her own…

So grandma created a pattern and this stuffed and larger version is allowed ALWAYS! I must improve the design a bit and when I do I’ll post both a pattern and a tutorial here in my blog.

Nanna’s evening dress for a formal party..

Gulleklumpen skal ha “Murder Mystery Dinner” på tiårsdagen i slutten av august,  og mamma hadde kjøpt en deilig rest med tykk blank sateng – på frøknas ønske i butikken.

Dette er resultatet + utkast til invitasjon! ;)

Hun ville ha den elegant…. Tante skal låne henne høye hæler ev..

My precious golden one is throwing a “Murder Mystery Dinner” when she turns 10 late in August, and her mum had bought this delish heavy shiny satin fabric – on Nanna’s request while shopping for another dress.

This is the result + a draft for the invite. She wanted elegance.

Shirred dress from Amy Butler fabric

Datteren min fant en søt rynkesømkjole, men ville egentlig hatt den sidere og gjerne i andre selvvalgte farger.

( Hun skal bruke kjolen i et bryllup i Sverige i morgen. )

Etter innkjøp av stoff og tråd og bånd mandag

ble mamma satt på saken.

Her er det Nanna som leker modell, – knyttebånd blir satt på når eieren kommer hjem etter miniferie med sin elskede i dag.

Morfar måtte få se..

Forunderskjørt med tyllkant.

Båndene, – knyttet/kuttet/dyttet etc for “knopper”. Kjolestoffet var for tykt til å få pen kant, så da måtte jeg finne på noe.

Så da har jeg 4 kule bånd... LOL

My daughter found a cute shirred dress but wanted it not that short and would love another fabric etc

( She is going to use it at a wedding in Sweden tomorrow. )

After purchasing fabric, thread and ribbons Monday

mum was given the task.

Here Nanna is the model for a wee photoshoot, – ribbons over the shoulders will be added when the hopefully proud owner returns from her mini-break with her loved one today.

Edited: after seeing it she wants to keep it strapless.

Edited again: due to enthusiastic dancing the buds were cut from two of the ribbons and they were then put on the dress as normal ribbons sewn on…

Granddad had to have a look as well!

Lining underskirt with tulle.

The ribbons, – knotted/cut/stuffed etc to form “buds”. Dressfabric too heavy to be rounded off nicely so I had to come up with another solution.

Now I have 4 cool ribbons with nowhere to go... LOL

Redesign!

En gammel ullvest + en gammel dongeribukse

= redesignveske fra eget hode! ;)

Made from vest made of wool/viscose and jeans..

The vest was felted in the washingmachine, 3 times..

Lining, bottom/sides and both pockets from the jeans.

Pattern by myself.. ( Insert crazy emo.. )

       

The gift that keeps on giving..

Som nevnt tidligere var jeg så heldig å få massevis av stoff fra den snille svigerinna mi, – så da var det kjempeartig å kunne lage noe til henne med nettopp litt av det!

I tillegg har jeg laget enda flere ting av denne skatten, – som dette lille skautet.

 

As earlier mentioned I was so so lucky receiving tons of fabric from my kind sister in law, – so it was great fun making her a little something using it!

In addition I have made even more stuff from this bounty, – like this little headscarf.

Flere skaut/more headscarves, – i annet stoff/in other fabrics.
