Herlig måte å bruke små rester av fint stoff!
Nålepute: Klipp ut 2 sirkler på 12 cm, – eller den størrelsen du liker best. Øverst hvilket som helst stoff, underst fleece. Stoffene syes sammen hele veien rundt, rett mot rett. Klipp vekk sømmemonn. Klipp så et lite hakk i fleecen innover mot sentrum av arbeidet og vreng. Fyll med restegarn eller lignende.
Sy igjen, -dette vil skjules om du legger en av trådene som deler opp nåleputa direkte over.
Bruk kraftig tråd og ditto nål og lag en knute i enden av tråden. Stikk opp midt i den fylte puten, stram godt og slå tråden rundt hele veien og stikk nåla igjennom igjen på samme sted.
Gjør det samme en gang til slik at du nå har delt puta i to med tråden.Gjenta dette på tvers, og så videre på samme vis til du totalt har 8 "kakestykker". Fest tråden.
Jeg klippet opp startknuten slik at den ble litt bustete. Knappefavoritten eller en trukket med stoffet kan være en snasen løsning og fin detalj. Bruk fantasien!
Nålebøkene forklarer seg vel selv. Jeg valgte å gjøre en hjerteformet og en firkantet, - men gjør det du føler for!
Having more than one pincushion is recommended, – at least if you’re in the habit of doing walkabouts when sewing!
Needlebooks also come in handy, so these are companions.
A lovely way to use small scraps of nice fabrics!
Pincushion: cut out 2 circles, – about 5in or the size that appeals to you. On top any fabric, underneath fleece. Sew the fabrics together all the way around, right sides together. Cut away the seam allowance. Make a small notch in the fleece fabric pointing towards the center of your piece. Turn the pincushion right sides out. Fill with remnants of knitting yarn or whatever. Close the tiny gap with a few stitches by hand, – this will be invisible if you take care and place one of the dividing threads directly over it.
Use a sturdy thread and ditto needle, make a knot at the end of your thread/yarn/whatever. Pierce the needle up in the center of your filled cushion, tighten well and pierce it up once more in the very same place. Repeat towards the other end of your piece so that you now sort of have divided the pincushion in two halves. Do this across the other way as well and then repeat sectioning until you have 8 “pieces of pie”. Fasten your thread. A faved button or something else could be fun instead of a dishevelled threadend. Use your imagination!
The needlebooks are pretty self-explanatory. I chose a heartshaped one as well, - but do what you feel like!
